Indian Journal of Plant Sciences

Indian Journal of Plant Sciences (JPS) is an open access online international journal that provides online publication of original research work, review, and views in all areas of Plant sciences, beginning from classical to applied branches. The Journal (JPS) is being published by Centre for Info Bio Technology (CIBTech) (Regd. No. SH/311R/2-16AP/42/09) with an objective to promote quality and affordable publication of research work fulfilling the general criteria of significance and scientific excellence. All the articles published in JPS are rigorously peer-reviewed. The Journal was initially published quarterly (four numbers per year) and annually since 2020.

The impact factor has been used for assessing the quality of journals. Electronic editions of scientific journals and the rapid spread of scientific information modifies the pattern of bibliographic citations, and thus affect the impact factor. Even two decades ago it was proved that the presence of an electronic version of the journal circulated via Internet is associated with the impact factor score (Curti et al., 2001). Therefore it will be our prime objective to circulate the journal far and wide, globally so that the authors could get benefited from its impact factor score.

Aim and Scope of the Journal: The aim of the Journal is to provide a platform for the researchers and academicians throughout the world to speedily publish, share and discuss various new findings and developments from every aspect of plant sciences. The work can be from various groups such as plant virology, plant bacteriology, algae, fungi, pteridophytes, gymnosperm and angiosperms. The aspects include agriculture biotechnology, agriculture science, agronomy, allelopathy, anatomy, biochemistry,  biodiversity and conservation, bioinformatics, biotechnology, bio-nanotechnology, developmental biology, ecology, evolutionary biology, forestry, forage, fungal technology, genetics, genetic engineering, hydroponics, plant breeding and reproduction, plant nutrition, microbiology, molecular biology, morphology, neutraceuticals, pathology, phytogeography, physiology, palaebotany,  taxonomy, tissue culture, transgenic, weed biology and so on.
